About DRG
DRG serves purpose-driven organizations that care for, inspire, and enrich the lives of people all over the world. Our team shares a commitment to the values that matter to our clients, bringing more than 30 years of experience serving the nonprofit community.
DRG partners with nonprofit, foundation, and social sector organizations to address complex organizational challenges related to strategy, teams, and partnerships. Our mission is to support organizations in bringing together the right leadership, talent, culture, and structure – so people and organizations can thrive together.
The Role
DRG seeks a Senior Consultant to lead a varied portfolio of client engagements across four service areas: Executive Search and Transition, Strategy and Growth, Team Culture and Organizational Design, and Collaborations and Partnerships. This person will bring deep knowledge of the Jewish communal landscape—its institutions and networks, and the executives, professionals, lay leaders, and funders who shape it—and translate that expertise into thoughtful analysis, practical recommendations, strong client relationships, and effective implementation support.
The Senior Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to boards and senior leaders, directing project teams and managing engagements from discovery and scoping through analysis, recommendations, and implementation. Depending on client needs and their expertise, they may lead or contribute to leadership searches and succession planning; strategic, business model, and sustainability planning; organizational design, HR, culture, leadership development, and compensation consulting; and board development, governance, mergers, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives.
What You’ll Do
Lead Client Engagements
- Lead multiple consulting engagements, managing scope, timelines, project teams, deliverables, budgets, and client communication to provide a rigorous process and a high-quality client experience.
- Partner with boards, senior leaders, and project teams to understand organizational mission, culture, strategy, and operational needs; facilitate stakeholder conversations and translate findings into clear project priorities.
- Design engagement approaches that combine research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, stakeholder input, and practical implementation planning.
- Conduct interviews, facilitate meetings, analyze information, and develop clear recommendations, reports, presentations, and decision-making tools.
- Guide clients through complex decisions, build alignment among stakeholders, and support successful implementation and organizational change.
- Maintain accurate project records and timely follow-up, protect confidential information, and integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout the work.
Bring Jewish Communal Expertise and Relationships
- Apply deep knowledge of the Jewish communal ecosystem, including federations, community centers, foundations, human service agencies, educational and cultural institutions, religious organizations, and advocacy organizations.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with Jewish communal executives, emerging leaders, lay leaders, funders, and other connectors; draw on these relationships to understand organizational needs, gather perspectives, and develop relevant solutions.
- Advise clients on sector trends, talent and leadership pipelines, governance dynamics, compensation practices, and organizational challenges.
- Navigate the range of religious, cultural, ideological, and organizational perspectives across Jewish communal life with discretion, curiosity, and respect.
